Operating in the UK market since 1983, we were one of the UK's leading providers of managed employee healthcare benefits and services, including medical insurance, dental plans and well-being programmes.
In September 2022, following a strategic business review Cigna made the decision to stop providing the UK Employer Health medical products in the UK. This decision enabled us to deepen our strategic focus on global healthcare and health services, including the UK International business. Our medical book of business was closed in December 2023.
Following a further strategic business review in July 2023, we divested our UK Dental products to Unum Dental. This decision aligned with our strategy to deepen our focus on global healthcare and health services, including the UK international business.
